Swaps helped bring Chloe and Olivia Zaleski into the riding world by giving them their first pony ride.  The girls were naturals and want to know when Rich is going to get them their first pony!


Kathleen Lindley Clinic - October 2007

Handsome and I had the opportunity to work with Kathleen Lindley when she came to Leesburg.  It was a great weekend of fostering understanding, building confidence and finding and fixing holes.

Tri-State Adult Riding Camp - June 2007

Petey and I participated in Tri-State Riding Club's (www.tristaterc.org) Adult Riding Camp at the end of June 2007.  We were part of the Hen group which jumped 24", this worked well since Petey had never seen cross country fences before.  In the mini event held on the final Friday of camp, we won our division and were crowned "Super Hen".

Janice and I traveled with Smokey and Petey to work with Mark Rashid in Colorado.  It was a wonderful week spent learning, making new friends and developing a better understanding of the relationships we all have with our horses.

One last parade to finish 2006, Petey and I participated in the Purcellville Christmas parade.  Lynell, Kurt and I were the "3 Wise Guys" and we rode as a part of the Tri-State Riding Club and USTR Groups.  There were more than 30 horses in this year's parade.  Happy Holidays!

Petey and I rode in the 2006 Leesburg Halloween parade.  We were invited to participate by Paws for People.  We had 5 riders and a wonderful support crew...ALL in costume!


Mark Rashid Clinic - September 2006

Petey and I had the opportunity to work with Mark Rashid in Frederick, MD.  This was quite possibly THE BEST clinic that I've ever attended.  I learned so much about myself, my horse, MeAndMyHorse and all that we are capable of.  WOW, what an experience!!!

Petey and I went team penning with Kathy Wilt and her mule Sweet Thing.  We all had a lot of fun and Petey and Sweet Thing got the job done.


July 4th, 2006 - Lovettsville, VA

Petey and I rode in the 2006 Lovettsville 4th of July parade.  We were part of a group representing the Spirit of America, handing out copies of the Declaration of Independence to the crowd.  We won First Place in the Marching Division!

Curly and I participated in Tri-State Riding Club's (www.tristaterc.org) Adult Riding Camp at the end of June 2006.  We were part of the Rooster group which jumped at Novice level.  In the mini event held on the final Friday of camp, we won our division and were crowned "Super Rooster".  In addition to that we also were awarded "Best Gravy" which was for the quickest and clearest stadium round of the day.  We finished on our Dressage score of 24 riding USEF Novice Test A.

John Lyons 3-Day Riding Clinic - June 2006

Petey and I had a chance to further our education by participating in a 3-Day Riding Clinic with John Lyons.


Best of America by Horseback - November 2005

Petey and I took part in a ride at Graves Mountain which was filmed for a series shown on RFD-TV. Best Of America By Horseback™ features trail rides that will be re-discovering America, it's people, music and most scenic places, all on film, all by horsebackThe Graves Mountain ride aired the week of April 26, 2006.

Petey and I had the opportunity to work with John Lyons when he came to visit Cumberland, VA.  It was a great opportunity to have a semi-private training session with John.

Holly Morris, who's specialty is "live" TV on FOX 5 Morning News, came out to Lovettsville, VA on September 8th to feature Kenny, me, Blue and Greta in her Neighborhood News segment.  Holly learned the basics of round penning from me and Blue, as well as the calm down cue and giving to the bit with Kenny, Blue and Greta.  We all had a lot of fun!


Pony Boy Clinic - September 2004

Curly and I participated in a Pony Boy clinic at Jokar's Hilltop Farm in Buffalo Mills, PA the weekend of September 18 - 19, 2004.  It was a weekend full of learning and fun.

"Greta" is a cute 10 year old Percheron/QH cross mare.   She is a great riding horse with a wonderful laid back temperament.  She is comfortable English or Western and she drives too!  She is sassy enough to be fun and quiet enough to be safe!! "Curly" is a strapping 10 year old Percheron/TB cross gelding.   He is an awesome riding horse who can do everything.  He goes both English and Western and is very well trained.  He is light in the bridle and very soft and responsive!!  He's been evented, shown in the hunter ring and has hunted quietly (in a snaffle!).  Curly is offered for lease, please email me for more info:      Email
